Musi Banyuasin.Cabang olahraga (Cabor) Gulat raih medali perak pada hari pertama Pekan Olahraga Provinsi (Porprov) Sumsel XV di Gedung Serba Guna SMAN 1 Sekayu, Sabtu (18/10/25).
Ketua KONI Lubuklinggau Didit Armansyah melalui Ketua Cabor Gulat, Adi Setiawan menyampaikan rasa bangga terhadap atletnya yang terus ukir prestasi. Medali Perak pertama Cabor Gulat diraih atlit Putra atas nama Ginting Sugiarto yang berlaga di kelas Freestyle 97 KG putra.
“Saya sebagai kepala cabor sekaligus kepala pelatih gulat tentu sangat bangga di hari pertama pertandingan atlet kami sudah menyumbangkan 1 medali Perak Pertama Untuk Kontingen Kota Lubuk Linggau. Dan hasil ini masih belum final, tapi kita optimis kami masih bisa mendulang lebih banyak mendali lagi di cabor gulat ini,” ujar Adi.
Lebih lanjut, Adi berpesan agar atlet jangan terlena atas kemenangan hari ini dan harus terus berlatih dan kejar prestasi untuk lebih baik lagi.
“Untuk atlet, tetap semangat kejar prestasi, hasil hari ini sudah baik, tapi jangan mudah berbangga diri karena ke depan harus jauh lebih baik lagi,” pesannya. (Tim)
